Hi I have recently sold a property and have paid the capital gains tax that was owing. I am a 20% taxpayer and fill-in a self assessment form. Do I need to fill in the information regarding the sale of the property and the capital gains tax paid on my self-assessment form .

Yes, you should enter the relevant information in the capital gains pages, SA108, of your tax return, which includes boxes in which you confirm, capital gains already reported and, capital gains tax already charged and, or paid. You can see guidance here:
