Hi - we sadly had to sell our main home / property at a significant loss a couple of years ago. It never occurred to us given the circumstances then to report this to HMRC. From what I gather, as it was our main residence which we sold, the losses can’t be offset against earnings or future CGT - can someone speak to this please? Thank you in advance 🙏

Hi,
As it is your main home/residence, it is sold at a no loss/no gain to be reported.
Thank you.
