I want to tell HMRC about a capital gain that I made in 2023/24 but when I go online I can't access my tax details for 2023/24 -it simply says "There is no need for you to contact HMRC about this. We aim to calculate your Income Tax by 5 April 2025. Your Income Tax will be updated when that happens. You will only receive a letter by post if you paid too much or too little tax. It will explain how to get your refund or pay any tax you owe." How do I therefore tell HMRC about the capital gain?
