A Capital Gains Tax payment that I made several months ago (including the HMRC reference provided when completing CGT form) still doesn't show in my self-assessment account, where else can I find this?

Hi,
The systems are not linked so it will not show on your Self Assessment account. You need to log back into your capital gains account to see it.
Thank you.

I'm sorry but what do you mean by "capital gains account"? There is a separate process/page for reporting CGT for residential UK property but if you have submitted a CGT real time report for disposal of other assets there is no separate CGT account. The report only shows in the main personal HMRC tax account under "check progress" but the payments do not seem to be visible anywhere if they have been made via online HMRC services. So I shall repeat the question: where we can find confirmation of payment if we have used CGT real time forms and the CGT does not pertain to sale of residential UK property?

Hi,
As the real time system does not interact with the Self Assessment system, your confirmation of payment made will be from your own record as you should be able to find the payment on your bank statements. if not, you can telephone 0300 200 3310 for details.
Thank you.
