Hello, My wife and I sold a 2nd residential property held in unequal ownership. Declaration of Trust and Form 17 already submitted and accepted by HMRC. Please clarify whether we can separate out cost of acquisition, capital cost of improvement and cost of disposal in the same unequal ownership, when calculating and reporting our respective CGT to HMRC ? Collectively, we only have one set of invoices for all these costs. Thank you.

Hi,

Yes all income and expenses should be split in accordance with the form 17 information.

Thank you.
