Good afternoon I wish to remove my name from the deeds of a property my ex-wife and I bought together around 20 years ago. We divorced ten years ago and my ex-wife still resides in the property. Could anyone tell me if there are likely to be any tax or stamp duty implications for either of us? The property in question is a modest 1-bed flat which originally cost £115K but which is now worth around £150K. My ex-wife and I are both basic rate tax-payers. There is no mortgage on the property.
