Hi, From the guidance HS281 Capital Gains Tax civil partners and spouses, it states: “If you and your spouse or civil partner are living together, any transfer of an asset between you is treated as giving rise to neither a gain nor a loss to the person transferring it. Any amount actually paid is ignored.” For such a transfer, please can you confirm if there is an obligation to report this within 60 days or complete the CGT pages of the self-assessment return?

Hi,

No. As there is no tax due on the transfer you dont need to report the property disposal.

Thank you.
