Hi there, Due to job nature, I need to go to rural area for my work. My company offers me a company car. Since I already have my own car, I do not have any intention to use the company car for my own purpose. I just want to use it for work (business mileage). I do not have any cash allowance, bonus, nor salary sacrifice regarding the car. My company simply will assign a car to me. If I accept the offer, do I need to pay extra tax for the car? And if I have all fuel costs reimbursed by company, do I need to pay tax for the reimbursed money? Thanks.

Hi,

Tax would only be due on the company car if it is available for non business use .

You would only pay tax on mileage if they reimburse above the approved rates .

Thank you .
