If a small company books all its staff into a hotel for a 1.5-day work focussed conference, is there any tax liability if all meals, travel and accommodation are paid by the employer, but 2 hours of the 10.5 'working hours' are free time? To be used for leisure and recreation which will not be paid for by the employer?

If your question is about the company accounts then you will need to contact our Corporation Tax team for advice.

If it is about whether the amount paid is subject to a benefit in kind then you would need to contact our employers helpline.
