Expenses being included in tax code for next tax year

Hi All, Does anyone know if HMRC have a policy of adding the expenses from your last tax year's SA into your tax code for the next tax year - essentially anticipating that you will have the same/similar expenses for that year too? If anyone knows that would be great!
