CDS Import Dec Non-Arrival

Hi, If it an import declaration does not get 'cleared' for a reason, does it eventually get 'timed out' i.e. automatically cancelled? How long before that happens? Is it one month from the entry date? I cannot find this on the GOV website anywhere. The scenario might be that you are having difficulty cancelling the (pre-lodged) entry so you might wish to wait for the entry to cancel itself. Does that happen? How long? Thanks

I would advise contacting the Customs and International trade helpline on 0300 322 9434 with your query or email cds.operations@hmrc.gov.uk with any MRN of declarations.
