Hi, In previous tax years I have claimed the £1,000 property allowance. However, I realised for those years I had not claimed agent fees and some other maintenance, the total of which would exceed £1,000 for those years. Is there a way to properly claim for these expenses in this year's return? (They're less than 4 years ago.)

Hi,

You can make a claim under the overpayment payment relief provisions. Claims must be made within 4 years after the end of the relevant tax year or accounting period.

SACM12005 - Overpayment relief: Overview
SACM12150 - Overpayment relief: Form of claims

Thank you.
