Hi. We have a sum of £3400.00 of unallocated payments on our account. We use a factoring company to calculate the tax payment for our temporary workers, they send us through the P30 (which we verify against our records) and then pay each month. The HMRC definition of unallocated payments is 'You made payments when there wasn't a bill or charge to pay. The unallocated amount will be used to pay future bills or charges' I have a couple of questions: 1) Why would there be unallocated payments if the tax charge is correct according to our records? 2) If this is an over payment, I have another P30 to pay by Tuesday 22 March, can I pay this with the unallocated payments balance? Thank you

Thank you.
