Hi, we received P11D forms for private medical cover from employer. We were told that after filing P11D's with HMRC, ER' pays NI contributions in July. And Employees will have tax code changed in order to pay the tax due on the benefit. But the tax code has not been changed ... so no tax collected for YE 5.4.2024... How does HMRC collects tax on BIK for private medical cover ? If we are employed we don't need to submit self assessments as all taxes are paid and managed by ER. From this year we will have BIKs payrolled - which means we will pay tax monthly via payslips. So I'm expecting to have normal tax code remaining - but more tax collected due to tax on benefit - is that correct?

Hi,
If your employer has provided the P11D, a calculation will be issued to show any additional tax due.
Once treated as a payrolled benefit, no P11D is required.
Thank you.
