Hi The update routine appears to complete, but the application starts and hangs at the splash screen. Resource usage is 100% CPU, and there is plenty of RAM and disk space left. I noted that support for 32-bit computers was being phased out, but the install of PAYE tools actually calls for and uses the 32-bit system in a 64-bit machine! The installation guide has not been updated with the latest developments, and still calls for you to install the 32-bit framework. Before I spend more time on this, can one of the developers do a sanity check that it will ever work, then update the install instructions. I don't mind doing a fresh install and data restore after a botched update, but meet me halfway! Thanks Ed

Ed, I'm having problems with Ubuntu 20.04 running BPT v22.0.22076.204 (2022/23 update). I can get it to run but with graphics flashing all over and not usable. Lots of gtk errors like this: -- (rti.linux:3527): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 12:32:20.561: IA__gtk_widget_style_get: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed (rti.linux:3527): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 12:32:20.792: IA__gtk_widget_style_get: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed --- Trying to get support is hopeless. The online help just goes round in circles and the helpline finally answers after about 20 minutes and immediately drops the call. I'm pulling my hair out. Need to pay staff but have no way of filing with HMRC or getting any support. Have used BPT for about 5 years without too much bother, but this update is the worst. Have you got anywhere? Nigel

Hi Ed Beckmann,

You would need to contact the online services helpdesk who would need a copy of your database and log files for further investigation.
