Employer name different on HMRC

When i go into HMRC and look back over this year my registered employer changed its name in HMRC? This happened in 2022 and we were not made aware and it looks like this one man random business is paying our wages? But it is not the company i work for? Is there a reasonable explanation for this? Is it normal? The business already have issues with payslips and admin over pay it feels dodgy?

The name for an employer with HMRC is quite often different to the name of the company that you work for.
