My mother is currently managing my late father’s probate and financial affairs following his death 7 months ago. HMRC sent a letter a few weeks later stating they would be in touch soon regarding any outstanding tax owed or potential rebates. To date my mother has not received any further communication. Could you please advise on the best email address or postal address to contact HMRC for a follow-up and what information would be needed? Additionally, is there a standard timeline for resolving personal tax matters of someone who has died? Many thanks.

Hi,
There is not an email address.
The postal address is HMRC,
Self Assessment & PAYE,
BX9 1AS
UK.
I am sorry but there is not a standard timscale for finalising the record for someone who has passed away.
Thank you.
