I have already called to have a cheque reissued due to previous one having expired. The line was terrible so I wasn’t able to ask any questions - just about relayed the message that I needed my cheque reissuing. I have since tried to call to get an idea how long the reissued cheque will take to get to me - but gave up after being on hold an hour. There is no other quick, easy way to ask simple questions. What’s the average timescale for a reissued cheque to be posted please? It’s already been a month.

Hi,

The current timescale for a replacement to be issued is 11 weeks from the date we sent a request for a replacement.

Thank you.

Is there any chance it could arrive sooner. I have same query.

Hi,

It could be sooner, however it depends on the timescales for the department who process these requests.

Thank you.

Hi, I had a cheque for a tax rebate; however it was in my maiden name. I called HMRC on the 18th of August to reissue a new cheque and i have had no confirmation that it has been sent. When should i expect to receive this, and should you receive confirmation on HMRC government gateway?

Hi,

Based on the current timescales, it is a 13 week timescale for us to process the request which would be 20/11/2022.

We would reply to you in writing regarding the outcome.

Thank you.
