I wiil reach SP age in february 2024 I am currently working my notice to finish employment at the end of Febrary 2023 Will i be credited for a full year of NI contributions for 2022-23 or should I stay in employment to the end of March 2023

Hi,

The amount of National Insurance paid is dependant on your salary so without this information we are unable to answer this question.

As you will have been employed for the majority of the tax year, there is a good chance you will have paid enough National Insurance to cover the entire year, however we cannot give a definitive answer.  

If there is a shortfall, you will be able to pay Class 3 National Insurance contributions on a voluntary basis to top this up.
