Is interest paid by HMRC on money in an account?

Can anyone advise - does HMRC pay interest on any money that is in credit in an HMRC account. It is a repayment due from HMRC due to tax being paid on emergency code. I would be happy to leave the money in the account rather than ask for a repayment to be made IF there is interest paid on it. IF yes, what is the interest rate?

HMRC would try to make repayment as soon as the repayment arrises. HMRC would not intentionally hold a repayment.  Thank you .
