Tax on savings interest

I've not worked in the 2024/2025 tax year. I get no income, no JSA etc. other than interest on savings so understand I’m currently able to have £5,000 tax free. My savings interest is paid monthly. Say I get a job in November 2024, will I pay tax on the savings interest from April 2024 to November 2024 or just from November 2024 (Notwithstanding the £1000 personal savings allowance for basic rate tax payer).

That would depend on how much you earn from your job from Nov 24 to Apr 25.
As  tax is based on the full tax year.
