Can a Gilt be a deep discounted security if it hasn't been stripped?

Hi, For offshore UK reporting fund which investing in Gilt, is the distribution generating from this fund considered as UK source income or foreign income?

Gilt-edged securities which have not been stripped are excluded from being deeply discounted securities, SAIM3040. The legislation is at S432 ITTOIA05.
