UK tax on Hong Kong salary before coming to the UK?

My wife used a visa to come to the UK in August. She had no salary in the UK and anywhere in the world starting from August. Before that, in April to July, she worked in Hong Kong and had salary. Does she need to pay UK tax on her Hong Kong salary?
