Receiving cash gifts from abroad

Are there any tax implications if a friend who lives abroad in Dubai and is not a UK citizen were to gift a sum of money (£100k) to me personally?

Hi,

There are no Income Tax implications on the receipt of a cash gift unless the cash gift generates interest or dividends. These would then potentially be subject to tax.
