Hello, I'm currently in Canada and I am trying to fill out the P85 form to alert the HMRC that I'm now living in Canada. There is a section of the form that asks 'Do you have a job or do you plan to work in Canada'. I don't have a job yet but I'm looking for one. In other words, I do plan to work in Canada and have a valid work permit. However, if I select yes on this section it then asks me to fill in details about my employer, which I do not currently have. Selecting 'no' for this section also feels misleading as I am looking for a job even though I don't have one in place yet. What is the best way to proceed from here? Should I wait until I have secured a job before filling out the form or should I select one of the choices now? Thanks

Hi,
It is fine to say no to this section even if your are intending to work at some point in Canada.
Thank you.
