Hello I have moved to the UK officially from end August / September this year. Before that I lived and worked in Germany and had an income there. Income tax was paid at source in Germany already. Now that I am a UK resident, I do not have an income as I am a student. I also no longer have an income from Germany or anywhere else. Do I need to file a UK self assessment and if so, what do I need to include on it? Please note I am not declaring any foreign income whilst living in the UK - I had none. I only had foreign income whilst I actually lived abroad and have already paid my taxes there. I have received mixed advice so would like clarification. Thank you
