Hello, I started my new job the at 7 November 2024. I get paid the last working day of each week. My tax code is 1257L on HMRC app. But my Employer deducted my tax using emergency code. I asked my and My employer initially said that the tax code would be updated as soon as they receive notification from Hmrc. On checking my HMRC app, HMRC has updated details of my employee and tax code but today again My employer said they haven’t received any confirmation about my tax code from HMRC. I have since been in touch with payroll at my works and they are saying they have not received any updates. And I am afraid they will deduct tax again from my weekly salary leaving me in financial hardships. I hereby request you to please send them my correct tax code details. Or if HMRC can contact my Employer by calling them or anything like that. Please help me out as soon as possible. Many thanks
