Foreign Currency Non-Resident Account (FCNR) can be considered under article  24(5), but is subject to article 24(3) of the DTA
(UK/ INDIA DOUBLE TAXATION CONVENTION SIGNED 25 JANUARY 1993).

Hi, I have a NRE account in India, if i send 1000 GBP this year, and if i repatriate the same 1000 pounds from India. Should i declare this in my Self assessment form. and the account was opened in last 5 years only.

Hi,

If the income was already taxed in the UK before being sent to India, it would not be taxable if returned to the UK. Any interest or dividends arising from the income may be subject to tax.
