I am retired. My gross income is £37000 (Works and state pension). For the last few years I have just noticed that small amounts have been showing as other income on my tax account. I have never had any other income and can only assume this is income from savings. I have never received any interest that would exceed the £1000 savings interest allowance . How can I tell if the interest allowance has been applied.

Hi,

Contact us by webchat or phone via:

Income Tax: general enquiries

we should be able to confirm what these figures relate to, and remove them if necessary.

Thank you.
