Please advise how I should proceed to reclaim excess tax paid by my Pension Fund on my behalf. 1. I am a non-UK resident living in India and left the UK permanently on completion of my studies in 1990. 2.I recently cashed out my pension fund in the UK and Emergency Tax was deducted. 3. India has a Double Taxation Treaty with UK and I am eligible for tax relief in India. 4. I received the P45 from the Pension Fund and noted that they have not provided the country in the Employee's Private Address. 5. The P45 states my National Insurance Number and the Pension Fund PAYE Reference Number. 6. My tax accountant has informed me that I will need a document from HMRC about the tax deducted. In this case: 1. Without the country mentioned in the P45, would HMRC be able send me a P800? Or can I use the R43 form with a covering letter? 2. In the R43 form, do I fill the amount taxed and taxes in C5 or C7? 3. Would I be required to also send the tax residency certificate with the R43? Please also share the latest P43 version if there has been an update in 2024. I have a copy of the R43 notes for 2023. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the guidance. I've now discovered that I need to use the DT Individual Form and HMRC has given me some advice on completing the document.
