Hello I have two questions I need help with, please. Firstly, is it possible to claim some 2022/23 expenses in next year’s tax return? Secondly, I claimed the cost of a computer (£1350) on an earlier tax return, then received an insurance payout of £740 for this laptop in 2023 but haven’t yet replaced the computer. How do I show this on my tax return? Thank you to anyone who may be able to help me!

Hi,
You will show both within the 2023 tax return and you can amend this online up until 31/01/25.
The cost of the laptop (business portion) will be an expense and the insurance payment is part of your turnover.
Thankyou.
