Hello! I have a few questions/scenarios to see if others have been in the same situation and will have advice on what to do. Thank you! Question 1: Parent who is domiciled in Singapore (no IHT) transfers £500,000 to daughter in jan 2020, who is studying in the UK. Parent then passes away in jan 2023 and daughter moves back to Singapore in Feb 2023. Will the daughter be subjected to inheritance tax in the UK? Question 2 (Different scenario): Parent who is domiciled in Singapore (no IHT) transfers £500,000 to daughter in jan 2023, who is working in the UK and married to a UK citizen. Parent then passes away in jan 2026 (3 years later) and daughter moves back to Singapore in Feb 2026. Will the daughter be subjected to inheritance tax in the UK? OR if the daughter remains in the UK, the inheritance tax will only apply to the amount above the £325,000 threshold? Question 3: If sibling or friend (Singapore) transfers £500,000 to individual who resides in the UK, and is still alive after 7 years, the individual will not be subject to any taxes?
