My aunt is 89 years old and has no valid passport or driving licence. She has no loans etc. and I cannot see how she can set up a Government Gateway account so we can submit her tax returns etc. What can we do?

Hi
If she is unable to pass the verification questions she will need to complete a paper tax return.
Thankyou.

Thank you for that. I have an LPA for my aunt registered on line with gov.uk so I can get access codes for HMRC which lets me manage her affairs. Could I use that as proof of her identity so I can set up a Gateway Account for her?

Hi
This is not one of the options for identity verification.
Thankyou.
