Hi I am on the Remittance basis and I want to remit some clean capital to the UK and invest it in an ISA. Would the interest from the ISA still be tax free. Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,
If you are taxable on the remittance basis, you’re liable to UK tax in the normal way on your UK source income and gains.
As you need to be a resident to open an ISA, if this applies you would still qualify for the interest to be tax free.
Thank you.
