I am trying to do self assessment for the capital gain from the Exercise of a securities option. This is detailed here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/employee-shares-and-securities-further-guidance-hs305-self-assessment-helpsheet/hs305-employment-related-shares-and-securities-further-guidance-2022#non-tax-advantaged-securities-options-including-share-options As per the instructions I have completed "working sheet 7" https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/employee-shares-and-securities-further-guidance-hs305-self-assessment-helpsheet I am now filling out my self assessment online. Where does the final taxable amount as calculated in working sheet 7 go? Does it simply get listed as a "Unlisted shares and securities" gain for the year?

Hi,

The boxes in the unlisted shares section should show a summary of all your gains and losses. You can add a breakdown as a pdf file later in the tax return.

Thank you.
