I have been sent an Income tax repayment cheque but live in Sweden and cannot cash this cheque with my bank. Can I nominate someone in the UK for this payment to be sent to and if so how do I do this?

Dear All, I have a similar issue as mentioned prev. A refund cheque had been posted from 2021-22 tax year, in the meantime, I moved outside of the UK so I didn't receive that cheque. In my online HMRC Tax profile I can see the private message breaking down the details of the year when I overpaid, however when I would like to claim online, for that year it says that all was paid correctly, which is leaving me in a position to only be able to call the helpline where I actually can not get through after waiting for several hours in the past days, spending over 30Pounds for listening to the waiting song. Is there any other way to contact tax refund-related HMRC colleagues who can resend me a cheque or via phone would be the only option? Thanks in advance

I’ve received Marriage allowance cheque for previous years and deposited in Post office to clear in my HSBC account, its almost three weeks now and still not cleared. Absolutely heard nothing yet? What would be the reason is it returned or what? How do you know? & how long it takes to clear

Hello. I recieved a tax refund cheque, but I'm living outside UK now and I can't take out the cheques sum in this country. My sister is still living in UK and i want to know what form do we have to fill for her to be able to recieve the cheque in her name and take it out. Thanks in advance.

Thank you @HMRC Admin 17. FYI all managed to reach out to someone via phone on this nr.: Outside UK: +44 135 535 9022. It took 1 hour of waiting time to get through, but hopefully now all done, with reissuing the cheque in 18 weeks.

Hi , my P800 letter said they sent my cheque and will be within 14 days .. Letter is from date 18/01/2023. Now is March and I am still waitting for cheque . How can I resolve this problem?

Hello - a tax refund cheque was issued in October but to the wrong address. HMRC has my correct address on my account (I have been at same address for +30years), and I requested the cheque to be reissued. Nothing has been received and when I called I was told the refund cheque was due to be reissued in May. I didn't check which year. Can you confirm there is a serious backlog, or was I misinformed?
