Hello, I am hoping for help to solve a problem. I recently submitted a form (Modelo 030) to show my non-tax resident status in Spain. I contacted HMRC a month ago, in which they provided me with a Letter of Confirmation of Residence. However, the Agencia Tributaria are asking for a Certificate of Fiscal Residence from the UK. However, as I have no source of income in Spain I believe I am unable to attain this and was only provided with the confirmation of residency. The Spanish authorities will not remove my name from their system. How can I go about solving this issue? Is anyone from HMRC able to assist me with this. Thank you.

Hi,
You would need to obtain a letter from Spain advising why the letter of confirmation is not acceptable and send that in to HMRC for further action.
This should be sent to
HMRC PAYE & Self Assessment
BX9 1AS
Thank you.

Hello, I did this nearly a month ago and have sent a copy of the Spanish document along with my own cover letter to the address you provided and I have not received a response yet.
