I would like to find out whether the HMRC has received a stop notice from the Student Loans Company. Is there anyway I can speak to someone about this? The problem I have is that I requested my student loan repayments switch to direct debit back in April. The SLC said they sent a stop notice to HMRC in April, and this has not been passed on to my employer. As a result, I am now paying for my student loan through my salary and direct debit. When I spoke to SLC last week, they said they'd send another stop notice to HMRC, but i want to make sure this gets to my employer as it didn't last time. Appreciate if you can point me in the right direction.

Hi,
If you have already spoken to the student loans company and a stop notice has been issued you can check if HMRC have received this by calling the helpline:
Income Tax: general enquiries
Repaying your student loan
Thank you
