I am a BNO visa holder and have been living in the UK for over a year. My mother, who was a non-UK domicile resident, had a Hong Kong property that she left to me in his estate. Based on this information, I would like to know if I am exempt from paying UK inheritance tax on this property. I would greatly appreciate any guidance you can provide on this matter, including any forms or documentation that I may need to submit in order to claim an exemption.
