Hello After applying to the self-assessment, i was given the amount I have to pay to complete my tax. However, it was then rejected for the following reason: "We are unable to process your application because the address provided does not match our records." But this is my actual address! It's even the one where I'm being sent letters by HMRC. I tried to call HMRC for hours but to not avail... I was just waiting indefinitevly for an agent to pick up. Can an agent help me... Same problem - I cannot register for self assessment. I keep getting my application rejected as address does not match hmrc records (but it does on my HMRC profile) What to do?

If your online application is being rejected you will need to contact our Self Assessment team.

If the address is correct but still being rejected, you will need to contact our Self Assessment department directly to register
