I've filled in my Self Assessment. I'm PAYE at a large company. My salary puts me in higher bracket so I'm fully aware I have to pay back the full child benefit income. I've done this for last few years with no issue. This year calculation has come out nearly 2.5 times the CB benefit amount. I can't understand why, my income in PAYE and CB benefit. I don't have any underpaid, I always pay it before deadline. Any guidance appreciated

Hi Racquel75,

If you have included all tax allowances that were in your tax code, and you are still not sure why your tax bill is higher please contact our helpline 72 hours after submitting the tax return so that we can review the calculation.
