Hello, I am on universal credit, self employed and employed. I am due to make a payment for tax year 2021-2022 and wondered if this gets reflected in what I receive in that month's universal credit payment. I.E Will the payment I receive be uplifted for that month due to the tax payment going out? Each declaration I make month to month only looks at what I have had coming in and what my expenses going out are. Therefore each month the amount I receive only reflects this, and not what the months income is less the tax. So in theory it should be uplifted in the month I make the tax payment, is this correct?

You can find guidance here

Universal Credit

If this does not answer your query, you will need to contact the DWP as is them who make the payment

Thank you.
