Hi, on my self assessment on the 'under paid tax' pages 1 and 2, it suggests on page 1 I paid tax for earlier years , on page 2 it suggests this was adjusted for in my tax code. Yet on the 'View your calculations' page it adds back in the underpaid tax including it in the amount I now owe, is this correct? Amount of underpaid tax for earlier years included in your tax code for 6 April 2020 to 5 April 2021 (from your PAYE Notice of Coding): £ 472.00 Is this figure correct? Our records show that your 2020 to 2021 PAYE Notice of Coding includes an adjustment for tax underpaid. Amount of estimated underpaid tax for 6 April 2020 to 5 April 2021 to be included in your PAYE tax code for 6 April 2021 to 5 April 2022 (from your PAYE Notice of Coding): £ 0.00 Is this figure correct? 'View your calculations' "plus Underpaid tax for earlier years in your tax code for 2020-21 £472" Advice much appreciated.

Hi,

The amount needs to be added to the calculation, if it is not then the system would think the £472 was overpaid tax and would look to refund this.

Thank you.
