I am employed and comes higher tax payer (40%).
I do not do self assessment and do not have UTR.
I have requested the UTR for self assessment its almost 15 days but not yet received.
What happens if I don't get it by 31st Jan?
Is there a way to claim additional tax relief other than self assessment?
Thanks

Hi aj2050
I trust that you have now received your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) if you have submitted a request online or by post.
If not please check Check when you can expect a reply from HMRC.
Guidance on how to submit a claim can be found at Tax on your private pension contributions: Tax relief which includes calling us or submitting a claim in writing.
Thank you.
