I contacted HMRC 7 months ago with accounts for my late aunt's Period of Administration - until these are agreed and I pay over the Incoe tax due, I can't finally settle the Estate and 12 beneficiaries are waiting. Two letters and three calls later I have heard nothing. I made a formal complaint in mid-August and have received no contact except for an automated response (say ing I would be kept "fully informed" of the progress of my complaint). I spoke to an adviser yesterday who confirmed my letters and the complaint had been received and said that someone would call me back the same day, or the next day - no one has. Please advise the next step I should take to escalate the complaint (and include complaining about your Complaints team).

Thanks - but as I stated in my original post - I had already made a complaint over 6 weeks ago and have still heard nothing. I have now made a second complaint using the same method (your link, which simply directs me to the page I used before). I was, however, asking how to escalate a complaint when your dedicated Complaints team ALSO does not engage with me. It seems a little pointless to simply keep making complaints via the same method, if that results in nothing being done, except an automated response.
