My employer calculates tax over my gross pay, before deducting my pension contributions. How can I get tax relief from payments I have made towards my pension? I live in Scotland and my employer is in England.

Hi erica,
As you receive Relief at Source on your pension contributions, you can claim higher rate relief either through your Self Assessment return, or by calling or writing to us here:
Self Assessment: general enquiries
You can read more about relief on pension payments here:
Tax on your private pension contributions
Thank you.
