Receive Interest from US Stocks instead of Dividend

I've invested in US stocks. Some US stocks pay distribution as interest instead of dividend, and it is not eligible for the preferential 15% tax rate. In SA, should I count this as dividend?

If distributed as interest, it will need to be declared as interest on the return.
