Been on hold fo over an hour 4 times now and no-one answers. Can HMRC advise on what the options are as can't use the online to set up payment plan?

it's absolutely disgusting how many hours are being wasted by people trying to call hmrc. i'm onto my 3rd hour of calling you listening to the same relentless tune and message saying the "call is important". no doubt at 1 hour 15 i'll be cut off *again* and have to go through the same tedious process of explaining to a robot why i'm calling, then entering my UTR only to sit there again going insane with your holding messages and music. your response of "Please keep trying to get through to our Payment team on 0300 200 3822." is just absolutely infuriating. we are, what exactly do you expect people to do? continue wasting their lives trying to get through to someone for hours upon hours? or maybe sort something out your side?

3RD day in a row spending hours in a queue - only to be cut off. This is not acceptable! Before I get a stock answer about using online service - this is not suitable for my request - I need to speak with someone - and yes I have the number!

Now at a week of phoning daily. Always cut off after an hour, am doing my best to keep calling but as a nanny I can't be on the phone all day as there's a safeguarding issue I've also tried the number on the gov website (0300 200 3835) and the number suggested on this forum (0300 200 3822) and it's just the same hold music and message. I'll keep trying but failing that is there a postal address I can send a letter to explaining the situation and to ask for a set up?

I have tried every day for a week, right at 8am and also later in the day. I cannot get through. Please, please can someone sort this out. Can we email?. All I want to do is set up a payment plan and not get penalties. Just been cut off after holding for over one hour. I just don’t know what else to do. The responses are to keep trying but I’m doing that and getting no where

Hi there I am a non UK resident but have UK income I filed my paper self assessment tax return in October. It was recorded as having been received and signed for by HMRC on 28 October. Since then I have not received either tax calculation or tax demand. I made a 'guestimate' payment in January 2023 . HMRC are impossible to contact by phone. Any advice from anyone please ? PS. Are the hours of on hold calls to HMRC from around the World an allowable expense ?
