I was made redundant on 31/08/2020. The amount was under £30,000. Should this be entered on self assessment and if so where?

Hi,

This would still be reported, but this would go under the employment lump sum section, SA101 AI2 box 9.

OK, thanks for your reply. I can access the ‘employment lump sum’ section, but it doesn’t take the format of SA101 A12 box 9. Do I need to request additional information and if so how do I do this? Thanks.

Hi,

It should be the same as the additional information page.

You would need to select the option for receiving a lump sum.
