I hold some overseas bank accounts. However, the interest generated in total throughout the financial year (6 April 2022 to 5 April 2023) was so small that it is less than 1 GBP (only around 60p or even less) after conversion. Do I still need to complete a self-assessment form and return to HMRC please?

Hi,

Where the total of your foreign interest, when converted to pounds sterling, is below £1.00 you do not need to report it to HMRC, as the online self assessment tax return would round down to the nearest whole pound, which wouod be £0.00.

Thank you.
